John joined ADG Architects in 2003 and became a partner in 2006. He leads the practice in the care home and education sectors, designing and managing projects up to £20 million from inception to completion using an array of contract types.
John is a Chartered Architect and holds a MSc in International Construction Management from Bath University.
HND (Building), MIED, RCADes
One of the original founding partners of ADG Architects in 1983, Paul leads the practice in the industrial sector, being responsible for the design of more than two million square feet of commercial space in the past 30 years.
As an early adopter of CAD from 1986, Paul has played a key role in working with software houses, universities and RIBA on the development of Autodesk and other modelling programmes. As a result, he and the practice have become industry leaders in 3D Modelling, particularly for technically accurate photomontages required for Environmental Impact Assessments.
MA, Dip, BA (Hons) Int Architecture
Jeff joined ADG Architects and became a partner in January 2016, following the merger of his business, Blackwell Architectural Services Ltd, in to the practice.
At ADG Architects, Jeff leads on residential and general commercial projects, and works closely with Paul Kelly on Industrial Projects and with Malcolm Cundick on Ecclesiastical and Historic Buildings.
Dip. ARCH (Oxford), RIBA: Chartered Architect
Qualifying as a Chartered Architect in 1970, Malcolm is the most experienced member of the ADG Architects’ team. A partner in private practice for more than 20 years, Malcolm has worked collaboratively with ADG Architects since 2011, joining the practice full time in January 2016.
As Inspecting Architect for many churches in the Durham and York Diocese and the Darlington Methodist District, Malcolm is a specialist in ecclesiastical buildings, undertaking numerous Church and associated community facility projects including new build, extensions to existing premises, remodelling and refurbishments with the creation of new facilities, and changes of use.
He has also worked extensively on unique special care and nursing home premises and housing association developments.
Business Development Manager
BA (Hons) Interior Design
Samantha joined ADG Architects in November 2015. As Business Development Manager she works closely with the partners and associates on all marketing and business administration matters.
Samantha is also an experienced Interior Designer with a degree from Teesside University. Having run her own business for eight years, she now leads the practice on interior design, ensuring it is an integral part of any project we undertake.
Health & Safety Consultant
IMaPS, Tech IOSH
Phil has more than 18 years’ experience in health and safety management and has been working with ADG Architects for nine years.
A Member of the Association of Project Safety and a Technical Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), Phil advises on all health and safety matters at all stages of a project, whether ADG Architects takes on the role of Principal Designer (link to Principal Designer page) under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, or not.
APPRENTICE JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN
Attending a Level 3 course in Construction and the Build Environment
Connor joined ADG Architects in August 2016 after leaving secondary school. As Apprentice Junior Architectural Technician he works closely with the partners and associates.
Connor is currently attending a Level 3 course in Construction and the Build Environment at Middlesbrough College.
Connor's ultimate target is to become a fully qualified Architect with ADG.
Senior Architectural Technician
Mike joined ADG Architects in May 2017 as a Chartered Senior Architectural Technician, with over 30 years experience.
14 years experience within the Health Sector and previous to that within the Pharmaceutical Sector.
